I was so impressed by your presentation at the Surrey Seniors Community Planning Table, I just HAD to let you know. You knew all the facts. You chose topics to relate in meaningful “chunks” in language which I think all of us were able to understand. I asked two questions, and one of the reasons why I did so, was because I felt comfortable that you would not make me feel stupid in the words you used to answer them – like talking to seniors as if we were experienced people, rather than a bunch of aged people. – Beverly Jean Brunet, member of the Surrey Seniors Planning Table, Surrey, 2013.

Linda was awarded the MS Society BC/Yukon Division 2012 Presidents Awards:

When asked to speak with someone about travel, or how to manage their MS or how to access services she is always willing to take the time. Her commitment to making a difference is honorable. She is a true inspiration to everyone who has the opportunity to meet her. – Adrianne Boothroyd at the Nominations for the MS Awards 2012. http://mssociety.ca/bc/award_recipients_2012.htm

Hi there; thank you! I have Ppms, can’t walk, but still surf, swim, and more. The one thing I really wanted to do was travel but I thought it was not feasible . Wrong! I can do it. You have shown me that

      Hi Col,

Your comment was sent a few months ago. I am reaching out to say that if you have questions about any destinations, feel free to email me at lin@shaw.ca. I noticed your email had an Australia address. I was in Australia for the second time in 2016. Since then I have traveled to Mexico, Japan, Hong Kong and have a couple of trips planned for this year. Take care. Lin.

Dear Ms McGowan, I was given your name by Fraser Robertson of the Neil Squire Society. He thought you might be willing to do an informational interview with me. I’m presently taking a course at Neil Squire called Empoly-Ability and I have found that I’m best suited to a career as a writer or artist.
I would be most interested to know how you went about getting your books published and what you think my next step should be. I have already written a novel.
I thank you in advance for your time and consideration and I look forward to hearing from you at your convenience.

    Congratulations, Linda!
We met at the CG pool. Long ago I offered to help you with proofreading. So the book is out – I’ve clipped articles about you. Hope you’re enjoying South Africa.

Linda, in New Westminster, I hope you’ll be launching or reading from your book.

Lavana & John at Renaissance Books have possible events for you, or you might have your own. (Maybe they can forgo the usual 20% of sales to the store in your case.)

The NW Main Library would be a great place for you – I can see your posters around town.

Hope to see/hear you soon. FL

    Hi Linda,

I’m a part of the International Seating Symposium committee, which is held every two years in Vancouver (at the Westin Bayshore) by Sunny Hill Health Centre and UBC Interprofessional Continuing Education It is one of the largest of its kind, dealing specifically with specialized seating and mobility for individuals with neuromotor and orthopaedic conditions.

I was wondering if you may be interested in speaking at the 32nd International Seating Symposium, to be taking place March 1 – 4, 2016. Is there a standard rate that you charge? We are not-for-profit so we are somewhat restricted in paying honorariums but it would be great to know what you think.

    Kind regards,
    Jo

PS Congratulations on your new book! I wanted to go to the launch last Sunday but couldn’t.

Congratulations Linda on your first book. I would be at your launch but we moved to Windsor Ontario a year ago to be closer to the kids and grand kids. You are such an inspiration to so many people and now your book can reach out to so many more people. My best wishes to you on the book launch. Happy and safe future travels!
